Ugandan election: Electoral commission confirms Museveni win
Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni has won re-election with a landslide victory, extending his rule into a fifth decade. The electoral commission said the 81-year-old leader won with 71 percent of the vote. His main challenger, opposition leader Bobi Wine, received 24 percent. Wine had accused authorities of 'rigging' the election, which was held under heavy security presence and internet blackouts. Museveni has been in power for 40 years.
