34 Australian ISIL relatives freed from Syria’s Roj camp but blocked from returning home
34 family members of ISIL (ISIS) fighters have been unable to travel home to Australia. The convoy of women and children left Roj camp in northern Syria this morning, which is run by Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). But the group was later forced to turn back when they were refused permission to enter Syrian government-controlled territory. All have Australian passports. Al Jazeera’ Heidi Pett has more from Aleppo, Syria.
