Iraq caught in regional conflict – Iran-linked armed groups escalate drone and missile attacks in the semi-autonomous Kurdish region of northern Iraq. Iraq has become the only country directly targeted by multiple sides in the conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran. Both Iran and Iraqi armed groups aligned with Tehran have carried out drone and missile attacks on the semi-autonomous Kurdish region. The near-daily strikes are beginning to take their toll.
