Germany plastics firm hit as war on Iran drives up costs, demand uncertainty grows
A small plastics company in central Berlin is feeling the knock-on effects of the war on Iran as rising energy prices drive up production costs and disrupt demand.
The firm, Gruenberg Plastics Company, run by twin brothers and employing four people, has been in the family for three generations. Owners say their business has become increasingly unstable as price lists continue to rise and customers grow more hesitant.
Al Jazeera’s Dominic Kane reports from Berlin.
