The main deterrent to sending US troops on the ground in Venezuela would not be the military confrontation, but rather the management of the country afterwards, an analyst says. “The main problem of actually using force in Venezuela, particularly a land invasion, is what comes afterwards,” Richard Waltz from the NATO Defense College told Al Jazeera.
